Zuni maiden necklace, pierced earrings, bracelet and ring set by Joyce Waseta of Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico. Sterling silver with inlaid black onyx, mother of pearl, turquoise, and coral.
Approximate dimensions: necklace has 3 maiden pendants, two are approximately 1 1/8" H x 1/2", center one 1 1/2 x 9/16", 19.9 grams; Earrings 2" x 1/2", 7.4 grams pair; ring size 6 3/4, 1 1/8"H, 4 grams; bracelet 1 1/8"H in front, inside circumference 4 7/8" plus 1" opening (can be carefully adjusted somewhat), 11.4 grams.

This maiden design is traditional in the Waseta family for several generations. Joyces’s mom, Theresa Waseta, was well known for her mosaic inlay Zuni maidens set in sterling silver Since Theresa passed away her daughter, Joyce, continues the family tradition.
