Traditional, hand-coiled, hand-painted Acoma seed pot by Dorothy Torvivio  rust, dark-brown and black design featuring birds, spider, fish and lizard on white background. Approximately 3.75" x 4.5"

 

 

Dorothy Torvivio (1946-2011) well-known Acoma Potter, worked entirely freehand, using the traditional yucca brush and natural paints. She received many awards for her pottery, including Best of Pottery at the Heard Indian Market and was featured in books such as "The Art of Clay" and "Legacy of Generations".
